Budgets, traffic credits, and payment estimates#

Runabot aims to keep your costs predictable through spending limits and clear payment estimates. Compute and storage are billed differently from network traffic, as explained below.

Compute and storage limit#

The CPU, RAM, and disk amount on the Usage page is a maximum weekly spending limit. Raising it does not purchase anything by itself. Charges are based on the CPU and RAM allocated to running bots and addons, plus retained storage. Unused headroom is not charged.

Traffic-credit refill rate#

Every account receives a free traffic allowance to cover ordinary background activity such as health checks.

For most users, the free allowance is also enough for everyday work with AI agents, so additional paid traffic credits are usually unnecessary. Paid refill helps protect the shared platform from unnecessarily high network load while allowing users with greater traffic needs to increase their allowance.

The traffic-credit refill rate controls how quickly additional credits are added to your balance, with the cost expressed per week. Credits accumulate continuously, even when you are not using traffic. Changing this setting changes the refill rate and the ongoing cost from that moment onward. It does not immediately add a lump sum of credits or charge the full weekly amount. The Usage page shows the maximum refill rate available for your subscription.

Each credit expires 7 days after it is added. Traffic consumes the oldest credits first, so unused credits cannot accumulate indefinitely. As your traffic credits run low, network speed is reduced in stages. If your credits run out, network access continues at a reduced speed.

Current prices and purchase history#

Check the Usage page for current prices. CPU, RAM, and disk prices are shown per week; hover over a price to see its hourly and monthly equivalents. The traffic card shows how many GB you can purchase per euro at the current price.

Purchase history lists changes to your compute/storage spending limit and traffic-credit refill rate, including their previous and new values. Timestamps use your browser’s local time zone.

Monthly estimate#

The payment graph uses the UTC calendar month as the billing period. Its solid line shows the estimated payment so far. Its dotted line extends the current resource allocation and traffic-credit refill rate to the end of the month. It is a projection, not an invoice: later allocation or refill-rate changes alter the final amount.

Hover over the graph to see the date, time, and estimated cost.
